Let's get ready to rock
Let’s get ready to rock with the 2016 Westchester Concert Series! We’ve got an exciting line-up to start the series, and we can’t wait for it all to begin!
The concerts are held from 5:30pm-8:30pm on The Village Green, our natural park setting, located between Latitude Seafood Company, Luxury Pool & Spa, Noodles & Company and Plaza Azteca.
The first part of the Concert Series is brought to you by Buffalo Wild Wings, the new MIX 98.1 and Westchester Commons.
All proceeds from beer and food sales go to benefit local charities (listed below).
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 27–We kick off the season on Wednesday, April 27th with local favorite party band, En’Novation, a group of extremely well-seasoned singers and musicians that have decades of combined experience performing on the biggest stages of the eastern United States. You may have seen them at Visions, Midway or even at the Midlothian Food Festival right here at Westchester Commons.
Our charity for the kick-off concert event is Boys To Men Mentoring.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 25–Up next is a Totally 80’s Night, with The Breakfast Club, from Atlanta, Georgia! The Breakfast Club® is the longest running, most recognized ’80’s tribute band in the United States. Formed in 1993, the group was the first of its kind. The mission was simple: create an entertainment group that embodied the enigmatic, creative, and buoyant spirit of music and live performances of the original MTV generation of the 1980’s. That mission remains today.
Our charity for this event is Backpacks of Love.
FRIDAY, JUNE 17–And to get you ready for Summer, we having a Summer Soul Blast, with the legendary Mystic Soul Bubbas, featuring Steve Bassett and Ammon Tharp, along with their cookin’ seven-piece group, play classic soul, boogie ‘n blues. Longtime Richmond mainstay and co-author of the official Virginia State Song, “Sweet Virginia Breeze,” Steve Bassett is a voice you grew up with and continues his soulful place amongst music’s greats. And Ammon Tharp, co-founder of the beach band, Bill Deal & The Rhondels, as well as the Fat Ammons Band, still keeps the back beat thumping of the Bubbas.
Our charity for this event is Richmond Animal League (RAL).
This is JUST the beginning…stay tuned for more concerts announced soon.
Come on out and unwind with your co-workers, friends and everyone you know at the Westchester Concert Series!
